I have never hit any animal in my life that has caused so much hassle with my insurance company. Brenda and Paula were very nice to me and explained the steps it would take in order to get my car back to brand new condition. The only downside I would have to say about my experience here is the lack of phone calls and communication I got on what exactly was being done to my car that day and after all considering I had to be in a rental for 3 weeks. Other than that, they handled everything with my awful insurance company who didn’t bother to call me AT ALL. It was a relief that they fixed my car and got the insurance to pay for my factory bumper instead of the cheap generic bumper that didn’t line up with the bolts/screw holes. They took the time to make sure I was satisfied with the work they had done. And they gave me a carnation! Thanks you guys!

Many thanks to Brenda and Joe at the Altoona location and Chris in Duncansville for all of their hard work and persistence in getting our Suburban’s back-up sensor replaced!

In July 2012, I was rear-ended and Professionals replaced our bumper. They were very helpful and easy to deal with. Our new bumper looked great!

In January 2013, our Suburban’s back-up sensors in the rear bumper suddenly stopped working.

Professionals gladly examined our vehicle and Chris determined that there was a crack in one of the sensors. Joe said there must have been a hair-line crack in that sensor after the rear-end accident that was not detectable at that time.

They said that with time and normal movement of the vehicle, it caused the sensor to completely crack and stop working.
They were able to link this defect to the original rear-end accident that occurred months earlier.

The other driver’s insurance company was not agreeable to paying for the sensor at first. The first claims rep at the insurance company said they would not pay. Her supervisor was contacted and she also said they would not pay for the repair.

With much persistence by Brenda and Joe, they contacted the insurance rep’s supervisor’s supervisor, who finally understood the cause and effect relationship of the accident and the cracked sensor.

Professionals emailed pictures of the cracked sensor to the insurance company and the repair was finally approved!

I wonder how many auto body repair shops would have worked so diligently for their customer? Professionals persisted in working to get this repair approved, even though it took extra time and effort!

I will definitely recommend Professionals Auto Body to anyone. They are great people who do quality work and really care about customer service! True Professionals!

I’ve been thinking about writing my comments, for a couple of weeks. My biggest concern was not coming off, as phony or insincere. I say this, because it is almost impossible to believe; that there isn’t one negative aspect, to this repair experience. Well, here goes.

The day after my accident, I put off taking my vehicle in for an estimate; thinking it was going to be the beginning of a big headache. About mid-afternoon, I figured I better get started. I decided on Professionals Auto Body, based primarily on friend’s comments. Professional’s TV advertisement jingle, “When problems begin, we’ll get you out of the fix you’re in”; also came to mind.
At the Professionals Auto Body Altoona location, I was greeted by Paige, Brenda and Paula. Less than five minutes later, my fears of a big headache were put to rest. They jumped right in, gathering the necessary information. They did it, in such a manner; that I felt I was telling a couple of friends about my unfortunate accident. After taking care of some paperwork, Paula began my estimate. She determined that to do an accurate estimate, they would have to disassemble the damaged front end. She asked my permission, to perform the work at their Duncansville location; because it would get my repair done, in a shorter time because of backlog. I agreed and Brenda took care of getting me a rental car. I left their facility, breathing a big sigh of relief. I knew that both my vehicle and I were in good hands. I could just hug those girls and, in fact. Paula did get a hug.

The next day I received a call, from Dawn at their Duncansville location, informing me of their progress. Throughout the repair process, Dawn kept me informed. Never once, did I have to call them. They worked with my insurance company, without any difficulties or problems for me.

One day shy, of two weeks from my initial contact; I received a phone call from Dawn, informing me that my repairs were complete. I arranged to pick up my vehicle the next morning. When I arrived to pick up my vehicle, Donna was completely prepared and everything went like clockwork. She got a hug, in appreciation of her great care. I was surprised, that Ron Perretta came out to shake my hand and personally thank me for my business. Another surprise was the extras: detailing of my vehicle inside and out, waxing of my vehicle after the paint cures, towing, lockout and flat tire service for one year and last; but not least, a flower for my wife. Nice surprises!
When I was ready to leave; their shop manager, Bob, escorted me to my vehicle. He reviewed my repair, their warranty and stressed that if I had any problems or questions; to call him. He also shook my hand and thanked me for my business.

Since picking up my vehicle, I have received follow up calls from Paula, Brenda and Dawn. I have also received a letter from Ron Perretta; again thanking me for my business and advising me of their total commitment to customer service and satisfaction. I feel the owner’s, Ron and Paula, sincere and repeated expression of appreciation; for my business; quite remarkable.

Oh, and what about my repair? Absolutely PROFESSIONAL! My truck looks as good as new. ( Although I’ve written these comments and had the direct contact, my wife Bonnie; is just as pleased.)

I just love everyone at the Duncansville location. My car had extensive damage as a result of running over a boulder from a rock slide. My oldest daughter has had several cars reparied at Professionals Auto Body and we have always been amazed by the quality of their work and additional detail that we have not seen at any other repair facility. So when our younger daughter recently hit a deer, there was no question of where we want the car to go for repar–Professionals Auto Body. Even though we live an hour away, we wouldn’t go anywhere else. Their service is always exemplary & our most recent experience was no exception.

During this most recent experience, had a tremendous amount of difficulty with our insurance company trying to persuade us to go to one of their authorized repair facilities for our repairs rather than to Professionals, but despite the convenience of our auto insurance company authorized centers being closer to us, both repairs and customer service have proven to be well below standards & less than satisfactory in past experiences when compared to Professionals.

During this most recent experience, our insurance company delayed the repairs by refusing to go on site when Professionals found more damages than the insurance estimator had initially written up. The insurance company continued to try to get us to take the car elsewhere throughout the repair process by forcing us to have the car taken off site, mid-repair, to their authorized wrecking yard for their estimaor to reassess the additional damages. We believe that this tactic was to try to get us to take it elsewhere to finish the repairs. Then when we insisted that the car go back to Professionals, the insurance company battled us for weeks refusing to pay for the additional damaged parts saying that Professionals should use old, damaged parts over again. Professionals was insistant that they not lower their quality standards to using damaged parts and; we are grateful for that. Who on earth would ever want that?!?!

Brenda at Professionals went above and beyond, staying in touch with us every day on the progress of the insurance company battle so that we could work through the issues and get the car repaired properly….not with damaged parts as the insurance company wanted.

We value the quality of repairs and workmanship that Professionals Auto Body technicians perform so much that we are now looking into switching auto insurance companies to one that will collaborate with Professionals, to ensure that we can take all of our future repairs to Professionals for quality repairs without difficulty.

Given the choice between my current auto insurance company’s performance and Professionals Auto Body’s performance during this recent experience…..we choose Professionals Auto Body! They even went above and beyond to make the car look better than it did prior to the accident!!! I recommend Professionals Auto Body to anyone in need of car repair…you won’t go wrong!

I want to thank Professional Auto Body of Duncansville, PA. for the fantastic way they treated my son Joshua in his car repair(s). Yep, that’s plural folks. Josh has had a string of incidents that someone should write a Country Song about. First a deer decided it wanted to be a hood ornament. Then the very evening his car gets out of the shop, someone hits and runs him at a convenience store. Insurance took care of both repairs, minus the deductible of course. So he has his car back about a week and his brother Sean notices that his rear bumper is being melted by the exhaust. It seems the exhaust was bent out of shape just enough that it caused the fumes to be directed at the bumper. As far as we can figure this happened even before Josh bought his car. So back to Professional’s we go. They repaired the exhaust for the estimate they quoted, and then they replaced the bumper for free. I am very impressed with their generosity. Josh’s car looks great. Thank You Professional Auto Body.

Immediately I was given a temporary replacement vehicle, which was not covered by my insurance, and walked through the entire process. I was hit by someone in a parking lot, the first thing, after getting their insurance info, was to head to Professionals to get it repaired. I’m glad I did. I went right in to get all the paperwork started, and they were actually waiting on me to get my car in. When I dropped it off and passed their facility just a few hours later, it was already in the shop being fixed. Work was done quickly and very good. Getting my car back was only delayed for one reason….the other person’s insurance company. State Farm didn’t return phone calls and didn’t do supplemental inspections; both when they did show, and when they were scheduled to do one but just completely didn’t show at all. My experience with them was so bad that we are looking for another company to handle our homeowners insurance. But my kudos to Professionals for quick and great work to get my car repaired and returned to me. Will recommend to friends that need work, thanks.

I had my first ever experience with a collision and the subsequent repair process following a deer strike. My truck had major front end and internal damage and ultimately needed to be towed. I filed the claim with my insurance company the night of the accident, and made contact with Paula at the Professionals Auto Body (PAB) Altoona office the next morning. This pleasant first contact with Paula set the stage for the rest of the repair process. She was very kind, informative, and put me at ease by informing me that PAB would take care of everything and return my truck to its original condition. My truck was ultimately towed to the Duncansville office since they had a lower work load, and this would result in the quickest turnaround time on my truck. I then had the pleasure of working with Dawn. She was excellent with leaving me messages with updates on the status of my truck restoration. I did not have to do anything other than file the initial claim with my insurance company. This is awesome!!! I cannot say how pleased I was to see my truck on the day I picked it up. I think its condition can be best described by quoting my wife when she said, “It’s like the collision NEVER happened.” PAB went above and beyond with a lot of extras such as not only detailing the outside…but the inside also!!! It smelled like a new truck. The attention to every detail, no matter how small, was remarkable! Although I have no prior experience to compare this to, PAB has earned my respect, and they will certainly be the business I turn to if I need these services again. We found it as odd as you that your insurance company, “State Farm” would hassle you throughout the entire process. Would you have ever imagined? Your agent turned her nose at you. The appraiser couldn’t write an accurate damage report and still never got it right. Claims handlers wouldn’t return your phone calls. You saw firsthand their true colors after paying for a policy year after year. All you were asking for was a safe, quality repair, paid fairly and handled quickly.

Fortunately this doesn’t happen very often, but this is the second time in our vehicle history (through 2 teenagers, 1 to go…) that we have needed to use the services of PAB. Both times they were very efficient and kept us informed throughout the process. Both times the cars were fixed and returned better than before the “accident”. All insurance paperwork and issues were handled seamlessly through PAB.

Their office staff is efficient and helpful and made for a smooth transition from Auuugh to #*%##$*# to THANK YOU!! We would certainly recommend PAB for your Auto Boo-Boos.

No critique would be complete without a slight criticism. PAB offers loaner vehicles but they seem to be 2 and far between. Our suggestion is have more replacements available but charge a small fee for them (i.e. less than a true rental). It would have been the icing on the cake for us.

Other than that, good experience, certainly recommended. Cathy liked the Rose too *I gave credit where credit was due!!*

I was on my way out of town for a conference when a deer decided to try to hitch a ride with me barely 20 miles down the highway, so I wasn’t thrilled about having to postpone my plans for a day and deal with all the necessary arrangements. I was so upset that an under insured motorist plowed into our 2010 Chevy HHR, purchase only 2 days earlier and basically tore the front bumper away. Once we got it to your lot, I knew I could depend on your service and expertise. Especially, since we experenced that excellent professional service and bodywork several years earler with another of our vehicles.

This time the under insured’s company (Progressive) wanted me to used another bodyshop; but I knew I would get my situation taken care of in the best interest of both our car and us. To Dawn, Ron, and all the wonderful staff: thank you all so very, very, much for the excellent job you did on my Jeep. The expected work done was enough to more than satisfy me but the added value services and the courtesy service card program was totally unexpected and just above and beyond great service.
I have dealt with many other auto services and unfortunately at times have felt pressured to have unnecessary work done, have had necessary work overlooked until I brought it to their attention, and have had damage done to my vehicle while routine maintenance was being done and then had to fight with the claims department to own up to the damage and pay for the repair, which Professionals did the repair work and did an excellent job.
I expect to pay a fair price for work done but I certainly don’t want to feel like the most important thing to the service station is the high fees they charge rather than good work and service and making a loyal customer happy, which is how I have felt with too many other auto service stations.
I have already told family and friends about Professionals and recommended them and will continue to do so. Again, thank you all so very much for outstanding work and service and I will be a loyal Professionals customer from now on.

I went in to get the fender & headlight repaired and left with my truck looking better than EVER! With the extra paint, you touched up all the chips in my paint over the entire truck. You removed tar, cleaned under the hood, and greased my locks/latches for the winter! When I got in my immaculately-cleaned truck (I know I certainly didn’t give it to you that way) it even had that magical ‘new truck’ smell to it! I would just like to give my highest recommendation to use Professionals Auto Body. Unfortunately or fortunately for them, I am a repeating, repeating, repeating customer..:-)I became a client when they were in State College and even though they no longer have a shop in State College, I will always go to them for auto body repairs.
I am a delivery driver for a living and as much driving as I do, the occassional fender bender is almost a given. Everytime I have used Professionals which has been many, many times, I am always completely satisfied with their professional job and going that extra step(s) to make the repair easier on me by setting up rentals and calling my insurance adjuster and basically it just leaves me to wait. It really eases the extra burden(s) of making those other calls. Not only do they do a great job, they are also very nice and pleasant to work with. In 2001 I had my Blazer repaired at your shop and back then I thought the service was outstanding. Here it is 2010 and I needed body work done on my Ford Taurus, and Professionals Body Shop was the only place to go after great service in the past. I hit a deer on June 9, on Interstate 99 in State College. Going 70 MPH, the damage was extensive. Professionals handled things quickly, and in a friendly manner. The entire front, and right side of my truck needed repaired and repainted, and when I got my truck back, it is impossible to tell anything happened! From the repairs they said they needed to do, I could tell they were doing things right…wheel balancing, alignments, etc. They even detailed the inside of my truck, a two week task in itself! Tom took the time and found out my car warranty would cover some of the repairs and took care of all the other repairs with a detailed listing of each cost with an explanation of each with a completion time. My jeep was hit by a fire truck and the people at Professionals were so wonderful dealing with all the insurance issues that arose because of the fire truck being a municipal vehicle. I took my jeep to them on Sunday evening to begin work on Monday and I picked my jeep up this afternoon (Thursday). I could not be more thrilled with the work, especially the attention to detail. Brenda and the front office staff were wonderful with the updates and the great details she gave me today about caring for my jeep after the paint job. Also, the fact that I get to take my jeep back in three months when it is safe to wax it again, to have them personally hand wax it to make sure the paint does not get ruined is so reassuring. Also, all the extras that they did before finishing with my jeep, from cleaning the inside (bless them for braving a college student’s car interior), oiling all the hinges and door jams, etc. I just could not be more pleased with the overall repairs. I will absolutely return to Professionals if I need work done again.

The $3000 repair job on my little neon was so over-the-top excellent that i can only conclude that Professionals made sure that i would come back if i needed body work or a wax and detail job.
The value added services they gave me, such as a free wax and detail after 3 months, and the extras they added during the repair made my car gleaming and neat, and made me smile.

I only wanted my neon to come out of the shop repaired, and it came out aesthetically restored and renewed. The two ladies were so great. they made me feel like they were on my team, and our goal was to get my car back to where i wanted it. I felt consoled when i went in for the estimate, and they made it clear right away that everything would be fixed like it is supposed to be, and i felt right away that they were the best ones out there to fix my neon. I had no doubts at any time. Every time i get out of my car now, i give it a stare, and feel good that my investment is doing well.

1 year ago, I was encouraged to call Professional Auto Body for a repair. The experience was OUTSTANDING, from start to finish.

Today, I was adding an after-market tow package to my wife’s car (it was supposed to take 15 minutes…but you know how that goes). Well, the last bolt for removal was so stuck, I could not remove it. Off I went to find a repair shop with the right tools. My first call was to Professional Auto Body. By coincidence, the owner Ron answered and invited me to come right over to help me.

I arrived with my 3 children in pajamas. Ron greeted me personally and took my car to the back himself. By the time my kids had raided the water/coffee table, Ron returned with my car, the bolt and dirty hands. HE PERSONALLY HELPED me and got me on my way, moments after I arrived. He would not even accept a small token of appreciation for his help!

I have been all around the country and dealt with repair shops for 25 years…. BUT NOT LIKE THIS ONE!

I am sold. If this is an example of “service after the sale” Professional Auto Body has just set the standard and everyone else has their work cut out for them. I thank you Ron for your consideration, customer service and operating a shop of distinction!
